The project to change software generations «HONORIS goes PLATO» – Christoph Rusch, Partner at inspecta treuhand reports In the short term, we decided to implement the introduction of PLATO in December 2017. Within 5 weeks, i.e. from the presentation of the software to the productive release, the complete migration of the master and transaction data was completed. This ambitious schedule could only be realized thanks to the good cooperation of both parties and in compliance with all interim deadlines. The willingness of the project manager and all those involved on the part of ALL CONSULTING, who were committed to implementing all our wishes and suggestions, should certainly also be emphasized. For us as software users, the switch to PLATO was a major change. But as soon as you understand the philosophy behind the solution and the search criteria, you are happy to have completed the change. For my purposes, I find the processes and program points more logically structured than previously in HONORIS. The implementation of the migration project from HONORIS to PLATO took place after the following phases:
- Preparation phase and delivery of basic and structural data: 2 weeks
- Test phase with adjustments based on actual data: 2 weeks
- Final migration and deployment: 3 days during which normal operation could be fully maintained.
What further expansion steps are planned? In the course of 2018, it is planned to automate accounts receivable management via PLATO and to set up the corresponding automatic posting in financial accounting. Project conclusion – what benefits does inspecta benefit from after the introduction of PLATO? The fact that, in addition to the software solutions HONORIS and PLATO, we also handle the engineering via ALL CONSULTING has certainly had an advantage. This enabled our service partner to fully solve any problems that might arise between technology and software.
